Dr. Lynn S. Springer grew up in Shaker Heights, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland, where her love of animals eventually led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. She attended The Ohio State University and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1986.

Dr. Springer began her veterinary career in equine medicine, owning and operating her own equine veterinary practice. After marrying her husband, Charlie, and starting their family, the demands of equine practice became increasingly challenging to balance with family life. Recognizing an opportunity to begin a new chapter in her career, Dr. Springer transitioned to small-animal medicine and joined the team at Loyalhanna Veterinary Clinic in 1999.

More than 25 years later, Dr. Springer continues to bring the same dedication and passion to her work. She particularly enjoys surgery and the opportunity to combine her medical knowledge, technical skills, and compassionate approach to help her patients live healthier, happier lives.

Outside of the clinic, family is one of Dr. Springer’s greatest joys. She loves to travel and takes every opportunity she can to visit her children and grandchildren. Her daughter, Kaylie, is a lawyer in California, while her son, Brandon, is an engineer in Colorado. Some of her favorite trips are those that take her to Colorado to spend time with her grandson. She also enjoys staying active through exercise and competing in triathlons.

One of her greatest joys, comes from spending time with her beloved Golden Retrievers, Bridger and Zion. Dr. Springer and her dogs share their love and companionship with others through pet therapy visits at Children’s Hospital and Seton Hill University, where they bring comfort, encouragement, and a little canine happiness to those they meet.

Dr. Springer is also passionate about giving back through mentorship. She believes strongly in paying forward the support and guidance she received early in her own career by mentoring students who are pursuing veterinary medicine. For Dr. Springer, being a veterinarian is about more than caring for animals—it is also about sharing knowledge, encouraging the next generation, and making a positive difference in the lives of both people and pets.

After more than two decades at Loyalhanna Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Springer remains committed to providing thoughtful, compassionate care to every patient and family she serves.
